Here's a brief summary of this current project:
Zack, a suburban gay teen, is outed to his fundamentalist parents by a vindictive ex-boyfriend. Short of sending him to a church treatment center, Zack is dumped on his distant small-town relatives for a summer of gay-proof hard labor. Flawless plan, except for one thing - gay teenagers live everywhere. Enter Justin, the friendly neighborhood football stud.
Just as things heat up between Zack and Justin, a shocking text message informs Zack his best friend from home is missing. What should Zack do? Call the cops? What if they tell his parents, and what if the police mention this friend is gay, too? Like the 'rents want to hear that! What if they freak and send him to the "hospital"? Too risky.
New boyfriend, Justin, saves the day by convincing two of his friends to join him and Zack on a rescue mission to the big city. Brilliant idea, except one of these friends happens to be Justin's ex! Drama plays out as text message clues from Zack's abducted friend send them all over the city on one misadventure after another. While Justin and friends take in the chaotic urban joyride, Zack begins to fear what might REALLY be going on.
